Use of personal data
Personal data is data that provides information about your identity or that can be traced back to you. You share personal data with us if you are one of our customers or if you are in contact with us. Which of your personal data we use depends on which service(s) you buy from us or on the extent to which you have given permission.

Purposes of use
To offer you the best possible service, CleverDisplay B.V. must store your personal data in certain cases. CleverDisplay B.V. uses your personal data for:

  • The discovery, if necessary, of wrongful conduct towards CleverDisplay B.V. and its employees

Retention periods
CleverDisplay B.V. shall not retain the personal data, in whatever form, for longer than is necessary for the realisation of the purposes for which it is collected or processed.

Confidentiality and disclosure to third parties
CleverDisplay B.V. shall not use the personal data for other purposes or in other ways except for the purpose for which the personal data is provided or acquired.  The personal data shall not be provided to third parties unless this exchange takes place on your instruction or within the framework of the execution of the agreement or if this is necessary in order to comply with a statutory obligation. We only store your personal data in countries within the European Economic Area, unless you have given us written permission to store it elsewhere.

Security and data breaches
CleverDisplay B.V. shall safeguard the security of the personal data in conformity with the requirements of current legislation and shall take adequate technical and organisational measures for this purpose. For example, we will ensure that only the necessary people have access to your data and that the access to your personal data is protected. Our technical security measures are checked and tested regularly. If something goes wrong, however, and a data breach occurs, we will take action. We will resolve the data breach and register it. If necessary, we will report the data breach to the regulator and/or you as data subject.

You have the following rights with regard to requesting, inspecting and deleting your personal data:

Right to inspection
You can enquire which personal data about you is known within our organisation. Obviously, this right only relates to your own personal data and not to that of any other person.
You will receive a response by letter or by email within four weeks of submitting your request.

Right to rectification and erasure
If you have detected inaccuracies in your personal data you can submit to us a request to have your personal data rectified, protected or deleted. You can do the same if your personal data is incomplete, if you are of the opinion that the personal data is not relevant to the purpose for which it was collected or is used by us in any way that is in breach of the law. You cannot exercise your right to rectification and erasure if the personal data must be retained under statutory provisions.

Right to object
You can request us to no longer process your data. This is called the right to object. You can only exercise this right if your data is used for other purposes than is indicated or if you have special personal reasons to oppose.

Newsletter
You can subscribe to our newsletter by filling in your email address. After you have been subscribed, you will receive an email confirming your registration.
Every newsletter contains a link that you can use to unsubscribe.
We use YourMailingListProvider to send the newsletters. After sending the newsletter, we keep track of data such as the number of newsletters that are opened. For more information about what YourMailingListProvider does with the collected data, please refer to the privacy statement of YourMailingListProvider. This statement may be amended regularly.

Cookies
Cookies are small (temporary) text files that are offered to your computer, tablet or mobile telephone when you visit our website. By placing the cookies, the website will recognise you the next time you visit, for example.

Functional cookies are used to offer you the best possible user experience. Our website doesn’t function properly without these cookies.

Analytical cookies
